Is this seriously free?
Yes. No tickets, paid memberships, VIP upgrades, or hidden charges. We're throwing a party, not selling timeshares.
Do I need to download anything?
Nope. The party runs in your web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.
Do I have to turn on my camera or microphone?
No. Come as you are. You join in with shout-outs, games, votes, and reactions. Pants optional. Camera unnecessary.
What happens after I sign up?
We email you a link. Click it and you're in: your invitation, your Crew HQ, and the pre-party neighborhood, where the games and daily arguments are already going. Then a reminder or two before December 31.
What is GenX Alliance?
A free online community built for our generation, at genx.forum. No paywalls, no algorithm deciding what you see, and no membership fees. Your party signup also gives you a free membership: once you confirm your email, you pick a username and password from Crew HQ, and that one login works on the forum and in the party house. This house is GXA's home for good; the party is its grand opening.
Do I have to know anybody?
No. That's half the point. Show up, find a room, and meet some people who remember the same ridiculous stuff you do.
What if I can't stay the whole night?
Come when you want. Leave when you want. You're Gen X. Nobody's checking your homework.
Can I invite my friends?
Please do. Once you confirm, you get a personal invite link so you can bring your people and see how many of them join the party.
Are you trying to set a world record?
We're trying to bring as many Gen Xers together as possible for one massive online house party. We'll count participation and publish our results, and exactly how we counted. We're not claiming an officially certified world record.
